The only things we ever collect are optional and live on this website, never in the app. If you join the launch list, your email is stored by Netlify Forms and a confirmation is sent through SendGrid - used only to email you about the launch, never linked to app usage, and you can unsubscribe anytime. The site also uses Google Analytics in consent mode to count visits and traffic sources - it sets no cookies unless you accept, and the app itself collects nothing either way.

Is there a scanner app with a one-time purchase instead of a subscription?

Can I scan documents without an internet connection?
Yes. Capture, cleanup, OCR, and search all run on your phone. Turn on airplane mode and everything still works — that is the test we ask you to run.
Does YourScan upload my documents anywhere?
No. Documents leave your phone only when you export or upload them to a destination you chose. The app works with network access revoked and contains no analytics or tracker SDKs. The website uses Google Analytics in consent mode: it sets no cookies and stores nothing about you unless you accept, and the app is never involved either way.
Do I need an account or sign-up to use YourScan?
No account, no email, no sign-in. Open the app and scan. There is nothing to log into and nothing to get locked out of.
What is the best Microsoft Lens replacement for Android?

Why did Microsoft Lens stop scanning?
Microsoft retired Lens: it left the app stores in early 2026 and scanning was disabled server-side on March 9, 2026 — even for people who still had it installed. An offline app cannot be switched off remotely. That is the point of YourScan.
What do free scanner apps actually limit?
Usually watermarks, scan caps, ads, or a fee the moment you try to export. YourScan's free tier has none of those: unlimited scans, no watermark, no ads, and export is always free. Pro adds automation, not access to your own files.
Is it safe to scan sensitive documents with a phone scanner app?
It depends where the processing happens. Apps that upload scans to a cloud put your documents on someone else’s servers. YourScan processes everything on-device and never uploads, which is the safe pattern for IDs, contracts, and medical or financial papers.
Why not just use Google Drive’s or OneDrive’s scanner?
Both require an account and are built to upload. OneDrive’s scanner does not save files locally, and Drive’s scanner files everything into Google’s cloud. YourScan needs no account and saves ordinary PDFs to a folder on your phone.
What happens to my scans if I uninstall?
Nothing. Scans are ordinary PDF and image files in a folder you choose. Delete the app and every document stays on your phone.
